Use AI for continuous improvement
As you know if you follow our work at Risk Alternatives, we are enthusiastic supporters of "lean management," the set of principles and tools designed to maximize customer value and reduce waste. I'm delighted by how AI can help train and support people in lean processes. The prompt below, adapted from Aadit Sheth's NeatPrompts newsletter from March 25, is a good example:
Act in the role of a lean management sensei, steeped in the practice of continuous improvement. Imagine you're the leader of continuous improvement tasked with implementing a Kaizen approach at [organization], whose website is [organization.org]. Describe in force-ranked order five practical steps you would take to foster a culture of continuous improvement among your team, explaining for each why it is in the order presented. Consider how you would encourage feedback, identify improvement opportunities, and sustain momentum over time. How would you measure the success of your Kaizen initiatives?
